I have been kind of in a foundation crisis lately. When getting ready in the morning, I would look on my foundations and can’t really decide. Today, it was the Rimmel wake me up foundation’s turn. So more foundation reviews will be coming soon.
I can’t really figure out whether I like this one or not. Somehow, I don’t like the shade(mine is in 300 Sand – I’m NC42) – it looks too dark in the bottle, and I’m thinking it would suit more an olive-toned skin. But when I apply it on the entire face, it looks kind of ok anyway. When I just got this bottle, I liked the scent, but lately, I think the scent is too strong. On the pro-side, I like the thin and sleek glass bottle, the really nice pump, and the cap is nicely secure(I know it sounds weird, but many foundation caps fall off very easily), it’s got SPF 15, it’s got a slight shimmery effect(if you like a dewy look). The main reason for me to grab for this one lately is the consistency(because it’s SO hot and humid in Hong Kong lately) – it’s very light and a little really goes a long long way. I was surprised that this didn’t make my skin look super oily because of the shimmer – which is a huge thumbs up!

Main products used: Ben Nye loose powder, Maybelline tattoo pot in back to the bronze on the lids, NYX blush in Amber, Maybelline lipstick in pink peony, topped off with Maybelline lipgloss super lustrous in cherries in the glow(it’s got SPF 15).
